Jesus is THE Reason!!!
For some reason, this Christmas I am not in my usual "Christmas" spirit. I can't really pin point why. Maybe because Daniel and I can only spend so much money on each family member. Maybe because I want to decorate our home with more Christmas decorations but can't. Maybe because the Holiday/Christmas Tree thing frustrated me. The other day I was talking to God and expressing my feelings and mood. He then showed me why I was feeling that way. Christ is the reason for the season - not stuff! Duh!! Instead of celebrating and parsing my Lord God for sending His one and only Son, I am focusing on what I don't have. What a spoiled child. If God had not sent Jesus to live and die for our sins, there would be no reason to live. As I look around, I see our world so far away from rejoicing and praising the Father. All I see is the hustle and bustle and things being marked off the list. In the world I see, I see some of my fellow brothers and sisters. We must remind ourselves daily - hourly - that this season is to celebrate Christ's birth. Not stuff or complaining about lack of stuff. God has renewed my mind and I am eternally grateful for my Father sending His Son, Jesus Christ!! Merry Christmas!!
